Sweden and Finland... kinda

Does it count if you literally spend 10 minutes in a country and take a selfie in front of a closed thrift store full of various useless nick knacks?

Yes.

So you've just heard of my trip to Finland. Sweden, on the other hand, was a collection of frigid sights and interesting hotels.

I dare to go to places when it's not ideal. Singapore in the springtime and Sweden in the winter. It was cold, but our accommodations, the boat, the plane and a spaceship were top notch in terms of comfort and heat.

Our first place to stay was the Malardrottningen Yacht Hotel. It was a boat tethered to the dock and unmovable. The rooms were, spartan in size yet furnished with the standard fare, including a bathroom and shower. The beds were comfortable yet small, but you did have a chance to relive your childhood because they were of the bunk variety.

The location was wonderful as well. Being situated pretty much in the heart of Stockholm, you had immediate access to some of the shopping and dining as well as the ubiquitous metro system.

It also had a sauna. After a little discovery, we found it just needed to be warmed up before use.

Breakfast, that was included in our stay, was in the typical European style with eggs, meats, breads and cheeses.

Overall, I loved it! I would suggest it with the understanding that you'll be cozy in the room and the bathroom.
