Let There Be Snow

Okay, so I live in Florida and am from the decidedly unsnowy part of California, but I'm a skier. I've skied in California, Nevada, California, and Alaska. Also, I've furthered my skiing into non-domestic ski locations. I've written a little about my time skiing in the desert, but I've also had the opportunity to ski in Oslo. What's more, I am looking at the option of skiing in Sweden, when I go in Jan.

Not quite this.

Not quite this.

I was first hesitant about going to ski in Oslo, my first international skiing destination. I felt it was too expensive. Luckily, it was pointed out to me, that in order to ski at "home," I would need to devote more money to the venture. To me, that's a valid path to enablement.

As I've been skiing since I was five and that was about 30 years ago, I know skiing a little bit and it's been one of the things I will be a little thrilling about. Since then, I've gone skiing a few times every other year or so.

I think the biggest takeaway is if there is an opportunity to do something in a foreign land, do it! Even if there is an expense, that doesn't usually make it more than if you had to find a way to get back to the location to do the something.
