The Question
The question was posed to me today. Would you rather spend your time skiing or seeing the northern lights? The choice was not clear.
Sometimes travel gifts me with the question of would you rather. But instead of asking the question of what would I rather not, this is a decision based on what memories would I like to create.
Would I like to see the celestial fiesta known as the Aurora Borealis? I've seen it a few times and it's no less stunning each time. There are few things that can captivate me in nature as much is particles striking our atmospheric defence system.
Would I like to ski? Now I've been skiing many many times and the ability to chalk another location off the board is intriguing. And the thrill is exhilarating. I keep a tracker on me when I ski and I've clocked speeds exceeding 60mph.
Sometimes Choices leave you with the question of what is the lesser of two evils. However, in this case, I get to decide where to place my joy.
I kinda want to eat the cake.
